A nightmare for The Reds..

Let me summarize Liverpool defeat to Sunderland game...

Total: Rubbish, or maybe a total shit!! I have never suffered such a miserable night watching Liverpool performance, the players performance suck.
Players Comments: Reina: Well, u saved Liverpool a number of times, but ur response flexibility is lacking. Don't tell me u cannot (at least jump) when the ball hits the balloon....goalkeeper at least got some reflexes, it looks like u do not have enough warming up.
Carragher: Old engine, a fraction slower most of the time, to be fair, he did OK to me tonight..
Skertel: His combination with Carragher never went right this season.
Johnson: Dribbling too much, are u a winger? Please learn to pass the ball when u are in the box, you are not Maradona!
Agger: Good performance, good to see you back.
Aurelio: Midfielder, are u sure, Benitez? He still looks off form to me..
Lucas: Who are you? Where are you? Are you there?
Spearing: Liverpool Youth team member sucks if compare to Arsenal, no confidence in the game..the room to improve is between sky and earth.
Babel: What? I thought you are sold! Passing, dribbling, throguh ball, shooting, all hopeless. I think you better stay as central striker, and if not, please leave.
Benayoun: I dunno where u play today, right, central or left? Rafa made you crazy today.
Kuyt: Headless chicken, running and running, how many time I see you shooting right on goal? One? Maybe...
Mascherano: Come on, tell the coach to let you play earlier, you lift the game, but please stop arguing with the referee, stop talking too much.
Ngog: Hardly in the game, dunno what to comment.
Voronin: This guy is very very slow, slow to react, not suitable to play in the Premier League, his style is more suitable for the oldies.

Rafa Benitez: Please change your glass, did u need to take 70 minutes to realise that your midfielder is not functioning? Do you need 80 minute to get one of ur hopeless strikers out of this game? What? You still need to ask the referee to give ur team more injury time kah? Come on, your selection sucks, you have nailed the last nail to Liverpool coffin dream in the Premier League.

Chelsea on top of Liverpool...

Hope of a Liverpool win was gone when they lost 2-0 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
I wrote this comment on a friend facebook page when he mentioned he just arrived home from a funeral. His comment on Liverpool: "Rest In Pieces, Liverpool's title hopes. Next May, he'll attend the funeral of Liverpool's top 4 place."

My observation on Liverpool:
1). Carragher is like an old machine which needs a lot of oiling, looks terribly slow in both Chelsea goals.
2). Lucas did nothing, his passing is non-existence.
3). Reira plays too direct, Benayoun would be a better choice to create a havoc at Chelsea midfield.
4). Gerard and Kuyt look tired, abnormal....
5). Johnson confidence is lacking in this game.
6). My two men of the match, Mascherano and Reina.
7). Nothing much can be said about Torres, Chelsea Terry marked him out.

On Chelsea:
1). You still have the same Drogba 'clown' diving antics, stopping the game too frequently, wasted my time to see a free-flow game. I am wondering whether he will be sent off in coming World Cup for his antics, he is good striker but his acting is too much. Ankle injury, fake one lah...touch a bit, also drop, how can a bull drops so easily, man...
2).Lampard is a worry for me, if I am looking at England chance for next year World Cup, Capello will be feeling worried last night. He seems ineffective, I hardly see him touching any balls, is he a midfielder or ???
3).Hilario did nothing last night, the defence stood stout in front of him, kudos to the Chelsea defence, it was perfect performance.
4).Ivanovic-I expect him to be trailing his feet like the game against MU in the Community Shield, where Evra and Nani attacked him restlessly. But Reira and Insua did nothing, they are too slow for him, a Benayoun choice will be great to create chaos to Chelsea team at this left flank....
5).Ashley Cole-he plays superbly yesterday compare to Johnson, attacking and defending, I hope he can maintain his form coming World Cup.

New Samsung LED TV

I took this picture from Samsung web site on their latest LED TV promotion. Samsung has aggressively promoting their 1.2" super thin or ultra slim LED panel. I understand this is due to that Samsung LED backlighting are surrounded in the sides/edges of the panel.

Other impressive features advertised include 200Hz Auto Motion Plus, Wide Color Enhancer Pro, Mega Contrast, built-in Internet @TV connectivity, USB2.0 Movie, DLNA Wireless and environmental Energy Star green features such as low power, mercury-free LED lights and recyclable bezel frame.

What I understand is with LED technology, the controlled backlighting can be dimmed in dark areas to give a better picture contrast details in darker scenes. Viewing angle which always cause contrast degradation at LCD panel has also improved and wide color reality is further boosted or stretched with the RGB colored backlights on such panel.
I personally haven't pay a visit to the local store to have a deep look on their Samsung latest breathtaking technology. But from the reviews I have read, oversaturation can be viewed at black and white areas details due to the super saturated blacks/color.
Price factor is also a consideration as I can see the price ranges from RM8,999 to RM20,999 (for LED TV series range from 40", 46" and 55") in the latest Samsung price promotion. But they did include few exclusive FREE gifts such as Samsung Premium Netbook N310, Home Theathre System, Blu-Ray players and HDMI cables for different TV series purchase. I expect the price will reduce in years to come as what we can see from CRT tubes and LCD panels that we have today.
Other notable features include Motion Plus which gives a judder free and motion lag elimination especially when coming to watching fast moving scenes or gaming. With the 4 HDMI inputs, 1 PC, 1 LAN and 2 USB slots (not to mention the common composite and components slots that we have nowadays), it gives users variety options to view a good picture/sound quality of their preference. Added to the option is the Internet connectivity where users can opt for wireless feature with an optional accessory.
Good to see the breakthrough of this LED technology in comparison to LCD panel, still waiting for an impressive of OLED panel showdown especially in terms of picture quality performance in the near future.

Another defeat, this time at Anfield...

It was really a bad start for Liverpool, the home defeat 3-1 to Aston Villa at home was really a nightmare. Last season, they have only lost 2 games whole season, but since the start of this season 2009/10, they have lost 2 games out of 3 they played.
I have to give credits to Aston Villa, they defend in numbers, Torres, Kuyt and Gerrard all have no chances. If Rafa continues to play the way Liverpool played last season, we will end up nothing this season. Believe me, you don't expect Lucas to play like Alonso, Gerrard definitely cannot play as a striker and a midfield at the same time. Mascherano is still overwork, Johnson looks bit subdued, the two central defenders are working hard, Insua and Benayoun are trying their best to overlap, but what went wrong?
The first goal came from Lucas own goal, a foul he comitted and a goal he scored himself! He is not having a good game, the confidence is low, the penetration is not there, passing is short range only, this is simply not enough. We cannot depend on Gerard or Torres to produce the goal only. Benayoun zig-zag movement ends up nowhere, it was too predictable. I see improvements in both the left and right flanks, we have over-lapping defenders. And 2nd goal, well, another set-piece, I called, you need to defend your corners, you need to defend opposition set-piece, Rafa needs to think a way how to get his players to do that. How many times we committed the same error last season, when against teams like MU or Chelsea? Lesson need to be learnt and improved, and most importantly, not repeated! Liverpool's subsitutues are still not good enough to make the first team tonight, I still see a bulky Voronin, his movement was so rigid, same as Babel. I am wondering what happen to Reira, he has been missing from Liverpool games for the third time in a row?? Believe me, we won't be able to push for the title if we do not invest, current bunch is simply not good enough, we need to accept the fact at this moment.
I did not watch the second game against Stoke which we won comfortably, but I was great youngster such as Ayala was given a chance to play, and definitely, they need more games. I hope to see more of Plessis, Nemeth, Kelly and Daniel Pacheco in the near future.
Refereeing standard is still poor for tonight game, same as Spurs game. But we cannot blame purely on referees when we lost a game, and as I have said before, a game is won when we score more goals than our opposition. Until we do that, we have to forget about the Premier League title this season.

A really bad start.....

New Premier League season starts on Saturday (15/8/09) with the diamond formation attacking Chelsea against Hull, Drogba looks ever impressive with his two strikes. He looks fitter compare to previous season where he was injured or off form most of the period.

Arsenal hits an impressive 6-1 demolition of Everton, a young team which shows so much maturity in the game. The Red Devils also opened the campaign with a 1-0 win.

BUT....Liverpool still stuck to the same defeat to Spurs, the same reality as last season, nothing change.

You got to praise Spurs, they played a solid game. Few facts about the game:

1). When u see the two big defenders, Skertel and Carragher banging to one another, you got to wonder whether there are any communication between these two guys in defence...
2). Liverpool still look horrible in setup defending. They still can't defend well in set pieces, still nothing change from last season...
3). If not because of Reina in top form, Liverpool will be few goals down. He must be very upset with the defending position.
4). First half Liverpool plays really a disarray game, no leader in the midfield. Mascherano has overworked, he could not pass and defend at the same time. Only when Gerard takes over the right midfield in the second half, things look much better, and Mascherano is back to his defending role effectively. And Lucas who? I still cannot see his abilities to control the midfield. Last time, we use to have Alonso as the holding midfield, who really can dictate the game from the centre, and Gerard is free to roam at front, but I doubt Gerard will have such luxury to do so this season.
5). Babel is having a poor game, looks so rigid, nothing improves from last season, I really hope this guy can show some genius skill fast.
6). Bennayoun introduction in the second half cause havoc and give Liverpool more confidence in the game. But the potential of playing 90 minutes is still yet to be seen, next game, maybe?
7). Poor Kuyt and Torres, they can't do much if the midfield engine is not working at all, Voronin introduction also does not help, he looks hopeless in the centre.
8). The two left and right defenders, Insua and Johnson, are looking good with their overlaping skill, but they need to learn to come back to defend their positions, still much to learn. The two centrebacks are too slow, you can see Lennon and Defoe terrorise these two CBs with their speedy attack. Carragher is caught napping few times, sign of aging?

Overall, not a good start for Rafa. He does not have the cash to spend, the two American owners debt have not helped Liverpool at all. It is time to get another owner, and if this does not happen, I am wondering whether Liverpool can win the season Premier League. Game One ends with a defeat, something that every Liverpool fans should be upset of.

Gosh....

I have few facts to share...

1). Gosh...the reality sank in, when my monthly car petrol consumption increased!
2). Gosh... The other day, at the same topic of this petrol price increase to RM2.70/litre, I argue with my colleagues that a family (with one children only) with a monthly income of RM2,500 cannot survive in KL. I calculate out all the relevant costs which will eat into the cheese pie of the family breadwinner......nothing left end of the day, and he does not even have to think to retire for his entire life....
3). Gosh...you can say we still have KWSP retirement savings, but what do we get per year, average 5% in dividend. But how about our cost of living inflation? With this petrol increase, it far exceeds our savings.....
4). Gosh...the other traffic jam caused by rumours that there will be a demonstration outside the Parliament house. And gosh....I am wondering where the heck the Government get the unreliable sources till they need to do roadblocks for 2 days!!! And gosh, gosh....the Hamid guy said he got some of the information from SMS (one of the sources).....my God, don't the Government teach us not to trust the lies spread in the SMS? My goodness, what is happening to the intelligence of this Government? More fuel and taxpayers money down the drain....
5). Gosh...I watched the debate between our Information Minister with DSAI last night from my TV box. I have high hopes the Government will give constructive ideas how to reduce the rakyat burden, but gosh, I was left disappointed, and so are most of my friends. What I see is a personal attack on DSAI on and on, with the rowdy crowd clapped every time our Minister did that. Gosh...I felt ashamed with the lack of substances from the Minister, the fact that he is living in the past, trying to convince the listeners of Anwar's past. But what I am looking for is the future, how this Government is going to reduce the ongoing heavy burden of every single rakyat due to fuel rise. A sad day for me...maybe the guy is not from the Finance Ministry, he is just an information guy, he does not have the right figures to convince the rakyat, sigh...at least our DPM should present to give a much convincing facts, at least this will give Pakatan Rakyat less chance to hit back at the present Government. Maybe our DPM is busy with coming internal elections, sigh......not to say our flip flop DSAB, I totally lost confidence at him already.
6). Gosh...one important fact from last night debate again, our Information Minister mentioned at his ending speech, without the present Government, DSAI have no chance to have a live debate shown in the TV. Gosh, for 50 years and more, we have been shouting 'Merdeka! Merdeka!" with our past leaders, and what does that mean? No freedom of speech? No wonder we have a one sided information in the main papers.....someday somehow this Merdeka spirit talking is just a shouting.......I feel sad..and disappointed again.
7). Gosh, I understand the Government will announce some goodies for the rakyat due to the increasing fuel price this Friday. But kata pepatah orang Melayu:"Sediakan payung sebelum hujan" We see the "rain" has turned into a "thunderstorm" now for most of the rakyat, it gives negative impact, and hit hard on the middle-low income earners. Why at the first place all these preventive measures are not taken before the fuel price hike announcement? Why only when the rakyat shouts and pleads for help only the Government starts to realise the pain? What are the economic advisers doing, day-dreaming?
8). Gosh....so far, nothing is right for Pak Lah government. We see so many fightings going on between the Pakatan Rakyat and the Govt. Accusations been thrown at one another, wild, lies, scandals....when are all of these going to stop? When are the policemen going to have a peaceful time and concentrate on their 'real' job, which is to protect the rakyat? Please stop.....please help the rakyat......

This is sickening...

This morning, my babysitter told me a young girl (17 year old) was raped by a policeman from Putra Heights police station, near to my staying place. At first thought, I thought that was another false information.....another wild allegations to our great force....
But I was wrong, in total shock when the news was confirmed and reported in a local Chinese newspaper. This was not even highlighted in The Star, which was busy reporting about the PM gets votes of confidence where a Government motion was supported with a majority.
I was sick, totally disgust, fill with anger by the raping news, which happened right inside my neighbourhood.
Before this, I received emails from my neighbours informing of car stolen and house break-in cases in this month (June). Here we always expect the authorities to protect us but somehow one of the rotten wombs in the force come and rob our families dignity.
I am totally ashamed, and disgusted with this shameful behaviour of the policeman (who is known to be from Sabah, married with kids), I cannot imagine what would be the feeling of this shameless animal if this is to happen to his family.
Yes, we can always blame to the victim family why they let the girl went out in such a late night until early morning, but, isn't this great force suppose to be a discipline and respected figure when in duty? Aren't they suppose to protect and comes to our rescue when we are in danger? But where are they now? I hardly see these patrol cars patrolling around my neighbourhood nowadays, but still, I am worried, even if they come, would one of them be the bad apples who is waiting for a great opportunity to strike?
I pray and hope the Government should be more sensitive to the rising security cases in this country, and not burdening the rakyat with more unnecessary hike of petrol prices. Please, Pak Lah, concentrate on the security, peacefulness of the rakyat, be this one of your main agenda in your system, do not wait till the rakyat suffer again, and again. Wake up, please....
